Unlike most collectors, I don't mind adding junk-wax to my collection...An honest kid couldn't afford to buy more than one pack of real Upper Deck cards with his allowance. Between video games and junk food purchases, I also picked up a few packs of Collector's Choice.
Still enjoy nostalgic feel of the cards, and familiarity with the players...
One of the NHL's all-time leading scorers, Ron Francis quietly and effectively filled a role to finish his NHL career with 1798 NHL points.
Perennially high in voting for the Lady Byng trophy (and three-time winner as the most gentlemanly player), it's kinda surprising to see him flipping a Bruins' player upside-down on this card. Whether the contact was intentional or incidental, it's still entertaining.

Chippy's Quiz: What is the only number retired by the Penguins, and who wore it?
A: 21, Michel Briere.
After a promising rookie season with the Penguins, rookie forward Michel Briere died following a car accident in the summer.
Briere scored three game-winning goals in the 1970 NHL playoffs, including the first playoff overtime goal in Pens' history.
His jersey number 21 was taken out of circulation, and eventually retired.
Since this card was printed, the Penguins have also retired jersey number 66.
