Had never even heard of these cards until a trading buddy showed me this set.
1999-00 Upper Deck Wayne Gretzky

A few years later, I found a small stack of them for my own collection.
Coinciding with the retirement of The Great One, it's just not the type of set that I'd normally pursue... But now I'm hoping to find a few more.
It's not 180 Gretzky cards... It's just Gretzky lending his name to an Upper Deck set. So far, I'm rather pleased with the player selection.
This Arturs Irbe card is a duplicate, and cool enough to find a home in my "Random Mixed Favorites" binder.
Oldschool cages seemed kinda dorky at one time... But as these guys gradually retired, anyone still sporting one looked pretty badass.
